Introducing W Group: The Global Platform for Women’s Health & Sport

W Group expands beyond women's health: here's what that means for the ecosystem.

The most overlooked markets don't lack potential - they lack the right infrastructure to scale.

Molly Taylor, Head of Content - Women's Health, W Group

After three years effectively connecting the commercial players in women's health - accelerating growth, brokering partnerships, and driving scale - what started as Women's Health Week has evolved, and what began as an event has become a platform: The W Group.

This expansion reflects our ever-growing dedication to underserved female-focused markets, not limited to women's health.

Women's sport is our next move. The sector has evolved from a cultural moment into a defined commercial category, with revenue growing exponentially. But it’s true that the gap between growth and scale remains wide. Built on the same principles as our Health portfolio, our Sport portfolio brings together the entire women’s sport ecosystem into a dedicated environment where stakeholders can interrogate opportunities and make deals.

Not only are we broaching new markets, but we seek to double down on the offerings that provide value for our community year-round, rather than purely on site at our summits as a response to a growing appetite for an industry engine that actually delivers.

Our platform offerings are nothing new; they've existed from the beginning and have served our customers behind the scenes, but it's time to bring them to the forefront.

W Insights

Since the start, we have been collecting our own organic data to study the fast-evolving market of women’s health. We have done this through industry news, data surveys and case-study led content output. Our data signals trends and market needs that point us to what the industry is looking for in our programming. It also provides the intelligence for our market reports that will be debuting this month. Most critically, it powers the intentional and personalised matchmaking function that connects stakeholders together. All of these functions are based on hard, concrete data that we have and continue to gather for both the health and sport industries.

W Summits

For the past three years, we have been running bi-annual summits both in New York and London, bringing together the entire commercial ecosystem dedicated to scaling the women’s health market. What started as a space dedicated to supporting start-ups to scale has now transformed into the global stage for all stakeholders in the space to make deals and propel the industry forward.

For the very first time, in 2026, Women’s Health Week Europe will taking place across two stages, addressing both the macro and the micro.

The Global Stage will be diving into the systemic discussions around regional themes both limiting and fuelling women’s health development and innovation.

The Scale Stage will be retaining our masterclass offering to startups with real, boots-on-the-ground, actionable insights for scaling a business: from raising funding, to commercialisation, to planning for exit.

In line with the broadening of our target markets, we’ve also launched the Women’s Sport Summit (WSS), with the inaugural meeting taking place on 6th October at the Emirates Stadium. Built on the same principles as Women’s Health Week, the WSS is designed to offer a platform to accelerate the business of women’s sport, bringing together the entire ecosystem of rights holders, brands, investors, service providers, and innovators with the same data-led matchmaking that has worked so successfully for our health portfolio.

The Women's Sport Summit will centre on the full investment cycle of women's sport. Across three thematic chapters, we move through the capital structures and sponsorship dynamics shaping the commercial landscape; the on-pitch and operational improvements driving the value of the product itself; and the audience growth, fandom, and broadcast strategies unlocking the next wave of commercial returns. Every session is built around current, named case studies with actionable takeaways that can be pressure-tested against any sport, brand, or investment thesis in the room.

W Accelerate

One of our most distinctive and valuable offerings is W Accelerate - a bespoke innovation scouting programme for global corporates and multinationals looking to expand their presence in underserved markets through new products, partnerships, or intelligence.

Here, we act as a specialist scout: identifying, vetting, and connecting the right innovators to the right organisations, underpinned by our ecosystem data and huge partner network. The brief is set by the client. We do the rest.

To date, we have delivered accelerator programmes for some of the world's leading pharmaceutical and consumer health organisations - including Merck KGaA, EMD Serono, and Opella - generating real deal flow with NDA-signed partnerships, not just introductions.

W Accelerate is now expanding to four programme vacancies per year across all W Group markets, including women's sport.

The W Group isn’t a rebrand, but a commitment to scaling what we’ve always built across every market in which women are underserved - starting with Women’s Health and Sports.

Whether you are a corporate looking to scout innovation, an investor seeking your next position, a startup ready to scale, or a rights holder looking to convert momentum into partnerships, there is a place for you in the W ecosystem.

The infrastructure is here. The question is whether you're in it.

What brings you here?
